SCRYING

--- SCRYING (SKILL) ---

This skill enables a player to briefly spy on another character. It is
capable of working on both NPCs and players, but there are several factors
that modify your chances of success. In addition to your rating in this
skill, you must have an appropriate scrying object. It is more difficult to
scry characters that are higher level than you, and certain quest-related NPCs
(such as bounty targets) cannot be located at all. Additionally, the magical
nature of some rooms automatically blocks scrying attempts. If your scrying
target has a high rating in the Luck attribute, they have a better chance of
seeing who it is that is spying on them. A successful scry will show the
target, the room where the target is standing, and any objects or additional
characters who are in the same room.
