--- SCRIBE (SKILL) ---

This skill enables a character to attempt to create a scroll of a particular
spell. The attempt must meet several requirements to be successful. First,
the character must know the spell, and the spell must be eligible for scribing.
Next, there is a monetary cost, a mana cost, and, on rare occasions, a
component material must be used. (The monetary and mana costs will vary.)
Also, the character must have a blank sheet of vellum for each scroll they are
attempting to create. If all these requirements are met, the character's
rating in this skill is the final determining factor for success. Scrolls
created with the SCRIBE skill are not permanent, and will eventually decay if
not used. The scroll can be used with the RECITE command.
