Bounty Hunting

In addition to doing deeds, completing quests, and exploring the MUD, you can go bounty hunting. Simply go to the bounty hunter guild in Dylath-Leen, and request a mission using the MISSION command. A mission can be:

* Retrieving a stolen object.
* Delivering a document to an NPC.
* Killing a criminal NPC.
* Killing a criminal player.
* Killing a player with a bounty out on his/her head.

What are the rewards for bounty hunting? In addition to getting money for successful bounties, you also get fame points. Fame points can be used to buy things at the bounty guild, some of which are listed with the MISSION command documentation. One of the most important ones is the bounty guild membership, which lets you train with the head bounty hunter, who has lots of skills to teach.

And what if you're unfortunate enough to have a bounty on your head, or to be declared criminal? You can go to the bounty hunting guild, and use the BRIBE command to bribe the bounty guild to remove you from the list. This also works if you've been declared a criminal.

When the mission is done, you return to the bounty hunting guild and complete the mission with the command mission done (except with document delivering missions, where it's when you deliver the document). This includes retrieving a stolen object, so don't give the stolen object to the bounty hunter.

Once you've accepted the mission, you'll get a certain number of minutes (real-time minutes, not game-time) to complete the mission. This is indicated by the COUNT field.
